I have always liked the sound Didgeridoos make, and lately I started to listen to it more. A didgeridoo is a
modern-day, contemporary version of the traditional woodwind instrument used by the Northern
Australian indigenous people.
Then I had the urge to play one, looking to see how much they were, I decided to make my own Didgeridoo.
Using 1.5″ PVC pipe form the local hardware store, I cut the tube down to 42″ and sanded the edge that was cut. I also purchased two PVC fittings that created the mouthpiece. These just pop on one end of the pipe.
After it was complete I started to try to play it. That did not go so well.
I checked out some videos and I am currently getting the basic drone sone down.
